Hi, I'm Wynne.

I want to show you how to enjoy life without alcohol and live a more joyful, mindful life.

  • Are you questioning the role alcohol plays in your life?

  • Are you intelligent, driven, and successful in most aspects of your life, but feeling frustrated you can’t figure this whole alcohol thing out?

  • Are you tired of waking up with a mild hangover, vowing never to drink again, only to second-guess your decision by later that afternoon?

  • Have you taken breaks from alcohol to “reset” but always end up feeling unhappy with your level of alcohol consumption again, sooner or later?

  • Perhaps you feel that alcohol isn’t that “fun” anymore and wonder if there’s more to life. Would you like to take a break from alcohol to see if you can feel better?

If the above sounds familiar and you are ready for a change, you have come to the right place!

Trust me, you don’t have to live this way. Escape the burden of alcohol and discover more peace, clarity, and energy. Allow me to guide you through a 12-week transformation with daily support as we explore why alcohol has been keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll reshape unhelpful thought patterns that have held you back and learn new strategies that better serve you. While not a therapy substitute, my background as a Licensed Professional Counselor ensures a structured approach to redefining your relationship with alcohol. I streamline the information you need to make lasting behavior change, saving you time while empowering you to reach your full potential.

What will you get?

By enrolling in the Transforming Behavior Through Choice 12-week sobriety challenge, you will get daily information and support for 12 weeks!

Come with me on a daily journey through written and video lessons designed for your convenience, accompanied by journal prompts to promote self-reflection. My course content is intended for you to digest easily each day. Even if you miss a day, the content remains accessible to you! As a bonus, enrollment allows you access to a private wellness community to share goals, progress, and questions. You're not alone in this journey – embrace the support!

By the end of the 12-week challenge, some of the benefits you may experience are no more mental gymnastics around alcohol, better sleep, more energy during the day, fewer body aches, better gut health, increased mental clarity, easier/better workouts, more present relationships, less anxiety, and a general refreshment in all areas of life – just to name a few! My course will empower you as you evaluate your relationship with alcohol. Remember – if you don’t feel better at the end of the 12 weeks and don’t find life more enjoyable alcohol-free, alcohol will always be there waiting for you! At the very least, you will have given yourself some space and time to evaluate your relationship with alcohol and will have learned some new coping skills along the way. So, what do you have to lose?

I’m so glad you’re here! Alcohol can negatively impact anyone, regardless of their profession (doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc.) I typically accomplished anything I set out to in life, so I felt embarrassed that I couldn’t figure out this whole alcohol thing.

I had a pattern of taking breaks from alcohol, but sooner or later, I would always go back to drinking more than I would like. While I was able to moderate my alcohol consumption at times, the cognitive dissonance was always there – causing me discomfort, stress, and anxiety.

Cognitive dissonance is when you strongly believe something, such as, “I need alcohol for enjoyment or relaxation,” while contradicting evidence challenges that belief (e.g., body aches, poor sleep, increased anxiety.) It’s a painful struggle to reconcile the two. I don’t want others to feel this way!

You deserve to feel better and break free from your internal conflict around alcohol. It’s important to note that it’s not the amount of alcohol or the number of days you drink that’s important; it’s how alcohol makes you feel. If alcohol is no longer serving you, or you wonder what your life could be like without it – join me on this transformative journey to a better life!

You don’t need to label yourself an “alcoholic” or hit rock bottom to make a change – I certainly didn’t! I was what many would call a “grey area drinker.” However, Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) is a spectrum, ranging from mild, moderate, to severe. Grey area drinking is still typically mild to moderate AUD. The truth is, it’s very hard to moderate an addictive substance. You’re not alone, and nothing is wrong with you!

My program is not about deprivation. Through my challenge, you’ll realize you aren’t giving anything up – you are gaining so much MORE in sobriety.

My Background

I have over 17 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I draw from my background in leading behavior change groups and personal experiences to enhance my courses. I offer this 12-week sobriety challenge and mindfulness course, Zenful Mind.

I use the word “sober” because the definition means “not affected by alcohol, not drunk.”  Being “sober” from a mindfulness and mental health perspective means cultivating a heightened awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It involves embracing the present moment without the influence of substances, allowing for greater clarity and connection.

You are capable of change if you are willing, motivated, and have access to the right tools and support! My holistic approach focuses on developing lasting behavioral change, building healthier coping mechanisms, fostering self-awareness, and nurturing emotional resilience.

It’s important to note that while I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, the information provided in my courses is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended to replace professional advice from a doctor or establish a counselor-client relationship. Please review the Disclaimer, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy for further details.

If you worry you aren’t living your life to the fullest and you want to transform your relationship with alcohol, this course is for you. The duration of this course is intentional. Taking a break from alcohol for 12 weeks will allow you the space and clarity to decide what you want your relationship with alcohol to look like going forward.

You might find that living alcohol-free is not only easier, but far more enjoyable and fulfilling! Short breaks from alcohol can be helpful, but an extended time away while exploring your wants and values can be an incredible tool. Life gets more rewarding, not smaller when you remove alcohol!

Throughout this self-paced course, you’ll explore why you drink and how to create a life you don’t want to escape from. By the end of the 12 weeks, you will have challenged your limiting thoughts and beliefs about alcohol and gained empowering tools for lasting behavior change.

Remember, there's never a "perfect" time to take a break from alcohol. You don't have to commit to “forever,” but are you ready to explore how much better you can feel? Consider the positive impact on your relationships, health, and every aspect of your life. Don’t wait – the benefits of a brief break from alcohol are truly immeasurable!

Please note that this course is not a stand-alone intervention for those with a physical dependency on alcohol. Alcohol withdrawal can be severe, so if you are concerned you might be physically dependent on alcohol, please seek medical advice to help you cut down and stop your drinking safely. This course cannot substitute medical care and is not medical advice. Please consult with your doctor before starting this course.

You may still have some questions!

Some common questions are:

  • “What if I ‘slip’ and drink during the challenge?”

You don’t have to be perfect.

Remember, this course is about transforming your limiting beliefs about drinking, challenging thought patterns that no longer serve you, empowering you through knowledge, and adopting a new mindful approach. The goal is to set alcohol aside for enough time to find the freedom you’re looking for and truly evaluate your relationship with alcohol; however, I provide information about what to do if you encounter a slip.

  • “Is this like AA?”

    No, not at all!

I have the utmost respect for AA, which has helped thousands of people; however, my challenge is not centered on AA’s philosophy. You will hear me refer to alcohol addiction as Alcohol Use Disorder, not a disease. You will NOT need to label yourself an alcoholic, powerless, or surrender to a higher power as a part of my challenge. With this said, ALL are welcome! You can still participate in my sobriety challenge and attend a 12-step program or meetings if you wish. There is no one-size fits all approach to changing your relationship with alcohol, and I believe we all share a common goal: to be free from the grips of alcohol!

  • “Do I have to give up alcohol forever?”

You do not “have” to give up alcohol forever!

Remember, the goal is to set alcohol aside for enough time to find the freedom you’re looking for and truly evaluate your relationship with alcohol. Many find removing alcohol from their lives to be the path to true freedom - myself included! As such, I do treat this challenge as a jumpstart to long-term sobriety; however, only YOU can make that choice at the end of the 12 weeks and only YOU know what choice is ultimately best for you. My hope is that you will have more clarity at the end of the 12-week challenge to decide what you would like your relationship with alcohol to look like going forward after the challenge. You get to embrace the freedom of choice!
